I’ll admit, this wedding ranks within the top 5 of my “Favorite Weddings I’ve Photographed” list. A perfect combination of an Alabama Bride and a Louisiana Groom, Audrey and Luke brought a little “Cajun Seasoning” to their Dothan, Alabama Wedding. Even though they live in New Orleans, their Wedding Day was celebrated in Sweet Home Alabama. I loved the NOLA culture they incorporated into the reception details including a Jazz Band and a traditional Second Line!

The Band was so much fun and really got this crowd roaring!

If you’re unfamiliar with what a Second Line is; It is a New Orleans Tradition that originated in the African American communities as a parade to support the new start of recently freed slaves. It has since evolved into a Wedding Parade celebrating the new life of a married couple. It begins with the decorated newlyweds and bridal party up front. The other wedding guests holding their hankies and napkins join behind them in the “Second Line” as they parade through the streets.
In our case- It was pouring the rain outside, so we paraded around the Depot instead.
